HELP EARLY

Few days back, I was in my usual morning walk in the Wesley school, Royapettai. By enjoying the morning breeze, my lungs got more pure air by the pleasant wind flowing from the wide areas of the school ground. The trees around the school ground dancing like a green giants.
The stray dogs near the security gate ran to a spot dashing me.
Near the tail end of the compound wall, I heard a sound of parrot creeching miserably.
I didn't stop the walking.
But my attention and vision went to the spot, where the sound came and the dogs went.
I can saw a dog tries to catch something.
The parrot sound was increased vehumently and I think, something was happening to a bird.
At this juncture also,I not stopped my walk.
But the mind was in that place.
I changed my walking path and reached the spot, where the sound came.
I saw a parrot, little as sparrow fighting the dog with its wings and legs.
The dog saw me.
And ran away from that place and stopped near 10 feets and looked upon me.
I picked up a stone and through it on the dog.
The dog went and vanished.
Then I picked the parrot in my hands and try it to fly in the sky by throwing in the wind.
The parrot winged its punctured little wings into the air.
But, it cannot fly long.
So, it sat in the brances of a tree.
I think, I saved a little parrot, and continued my walking rounds.
In due course, I forgot the parrot and dog.
Suddenly, I saw the spot, the same dog was there and it was busy in a duty.
I think, again the dog is torturing the parrot and rushed to the spot with a little stone to make away the dog.
There I saw the green parrot lying in the ground without life.
Seeing me, the dog went away.
The wings were damaged, some blood was leaking from the body of that pitiest parrot.
I took the parrot, it was dead.
I feel very shame.
A sudden sorrow clutched my mind.
In the first round, I heard the noise. The sound continued till third and fourth round also.
If I was alert, I can save a life.
By doing lately, a life was missed.
The incident shocked me.
So if you thing to help others, do it early.
